Project Type: SALM Buoys

This project included the design and construction of a hydraulically power driven, rotating assembly consisting of main bearing unit, fluid swivel and electrical swivel for an oil loading monotower.

SOFEC designed, fabricated and tested each of these units to identical specifications. Various critical components are completely interchangeable to simplify logistical support requirements.

This unique Rapid Depolyment SALM (RA-DE SALM®) was developed based on SOFEC commercially available SPM technology.

SOFEC designed, constructed, and supervised installation of a second SALM terminal for strategic crude oil storage facility.

SOFEC designed, constructed, and supervised installation of the first SALM terminal for strategic crude oil storage facility.

SOFEC designed, constructed, and supervised installation of a SALM to operate in ice-laden water to import fuel, diesel and Mogas.

SOFEC designed, fabricated, and installed a SALM terminal in Manila.

SOFEC designed, constructed, and installed a SALM terminal to import heavy fuel oil for distribution in North west Spain.

SOFEC designed, constructed, and supervised installation of the SPM #102, SPM #103 and SPM #104 SALMs for unloading tankers up to the ULCC for the first domestic deep-water “superport”.

SOFEC designed, constructed, and supervised installation of two SPMs for 750,000 dwt tanker (ULCC’s).
