Mooring Systems - Spread Mooring

FPSO Cidade de Angra dos Reis MV22 - Brazil

SOFEC is responsible for the design and procurement of a spread mooring system for the FPSO Cidade de Angra dos Reis MV22 in the giant Tupi area in Brazil's vast pre-salt reserves of the Santos Basin.

The FPSO is capable of processing up to 100,000 barrels of oil per day or 150,000 total fluids per day and 5 million m3 of gas. The FPSO has a storage capacity of 1,600,000 barrels of oil and will also be able to inject 100,000 barrels of water per day. The facility is designed for H2S and CO2 removal and is capable of reinjecting CO2 downhole at 550 bar in addition to exporting sales gas to shore. The FPSO will initially gather production from five subsea wells and has the ability to accommodate four additional production wells in the future.

The SOFEC spread mooring system will be ABS classed.
