The SOFEC Floating Drilling, Production, Storage, and Offloading (FDPSO) design is a combination monohull drilling/production vessel capable of withstanding North Sea conditions. The turret and fluid transfer system interface with a state-of-the-art drilling system to allow the simultaneous drilling, production, and offloading operations. The system is configured with a large diameter turret complete with slots for multiple risers and umbilicals to control subsea wellhead equipment. An anchoring system capable of mooring the FDPSO vessel in up to 1,500 feet (550 meters) of water utilizes thruster assist to control the mooring loads and vessel motions for high efficiency during drilling operations.
