This project included the design and construction of a hydraulically power driven, rotating assembly consisting of main bearing unit, fluid swivel and electrical swivel for an oil loading monotower. SOFEC's scope of work included all of the mechanical components for the main rotating drive assembly and associated swivels.
Positioned 1.2 miles from the main complex of a concrete gravity based structure, and accommodation platform, the monotower accommodates DP tankers, which orient the loading boom via remote control.
